GreenEDU kolmas uudiskiri
May 2026
Sissejuhatus
GreenEDU rakendustegevuste ja muude seotud ürituste eesmärk on toetada kõrgkoolide õppejõude ja üliõpilasi rohe- ja digitaalsete oskuste arendamisel, mis on olulised rohemajanduses osalemiseks. See võimaldab neil tegeleda keskkonnaprobleemide käsitlemisega. Projekti ja selle tulemuste edasiseks jagamiseks korraldatakse erinevaid reklaamtegevusi ja neli teemakohast üritust. GreenEDU projekti kaasrahastab Euroopa Liidu Erasmus+ programm.

Partnerid Spotlight
CleverMind
CleverMind Foundation is a young NGO established by experienced specialists whose professional life has always been connected with multidimensional education at the European level. Due to their university background in HE institutions and collaboration with different universities, they have high social competencies and extensive knowledge, enabling the implementation of various projects in the research and development dimension.
As a partner in GreenEDU, Clevermind in Work Package 4 (WP4), focuses on the development of engaging digital learning tools that make sustainability education interactive and memorable. Together with the other partners, Clevermind transforms the developed theoretical curriculum frameworks into dynamic, student-centered learning experiences.
Clevermind‘s contribution to the project also includes collaborating in the creation of digital escape rooms that challenge students to apply green economy competencies in realistic scenarios, as well as developing educational video content that brings complex sustainability concepts to life through compelling storytelling and visual communication.

WP3
This phase is the “engine room” of our project, where research transforms into practical educational tools designed to bridge the gap between environmental theory and actionable green skills.
Team Update: Welcoming Jorge Cottyn
We are pleased to announce a change within our project team. Jorge Cottyn has stepped in to take over the role previously held by Stéphanie Vanneste. Jorge brings a wealth of experience to GreenEdu; while he previously worked at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, he spent the last decade as the coordinator of the secondary Freinet school ‘tvier. His deep expertise in innovative pedagogy and school coordination will be a tremendous asset as we move into the implementation phase.
Key Achievements & Recent Milestones
The team at VIVES has been working intensively to finalize the building blocks of our educational framework. Here are the latest highlights:
- Curriculum Development: Building on our initial research, the VIVES team has made significant strides in refining the GreenEdu Curriculum. This framework ensures that sustainability is not just an “add-on” but a core competency integrated into modern education.
- From Theory to Lesson Plans: Beyond the broad framework, we have focused on the concrete development of lesson series. These practical modules are designed to be “plug-and-play” for educators, translating complex environmental goals into engaging classroom activities.
- Stakeholder Validation: To ensure our tools are “classroom-ready,” we have integrated feedback from educators to refine the materials for maximum impact.
What’s Next?
The Pilot Phase
The next major step for WP3 is moving from the drawing board to the classroom. We are preparing to test the new curriculum across a selection of study programs. This pilot phase will allow us to gather real-world data, assess student engagement, and fine-tune the materials before a wider rollout.
Through the collaborative efforts of all project partners, the development of the 6 Escape Rooms and 6 Animated Videos is now complete. Following a rigorous internal review process to ensure pedagogical quality and thematic alignment, the project has transitioned into the following phases:
Current Status: Technical Integration
The finalised content has officially entered the technical development phase. Our technical teams is currently working on:
- Technical development of Escape Rooms by INNOVADE and Animated videos by CleverMind.
- Platform Integration: Embedding the interactive Escape Room modules into the GreenEDU infrastructure.

What’s Next? Translation and Global Accessibility
To maximize the impact of these resources, the upcoming months will focus on localization and linguistic adaptation. This involves:
- Multilingual Translation: Translating all textual and audio elements of the Escape Rooms and videos into the partnership’s native languages.
- Cultural Adaptation: Refining content to ensure it resonates effectively with diverse regional contexts.
The Pilot Phase
Once the platform is localized, we will initiate the Pilot Phase. This critical stage involves:
- Target Group Engagement: Deploying the resources to our specific target groups
- Feedback Collection: Gathering quantitative and qualitative data on the effectiveness and engagement levels of the tools.
- Refinement: Using the pilot results to make final adjustments before the official wide-scale launch.
